Sable German Shepherds have a number of colors associated with them, the unusual feature of their coat is that the last few millimetres of each strand has a different color to that of the majority of the hair strand. They have tips, but run your hand against the nape of the fur and you will see a, usually, creamy/yellowish color predominates.
