Of all the dog breeds, in our opinion, the German Shepherd is in a class of it’s own. It is an intelligent large breed, loyal and fearless, that will gladly put itself into harms way to protect it’s pack, it’s family. These characteristics are inherent in the breed, no training required, they will protect when the moment arises. The breed is aloof and wary of strangers but not aggressive in well adjusted dogs. The breed has a range of colors and can vary in weight and size but the breed standard for a full grown male, approximately 24 months, will be between 32-38 Kilograms and stand at the wither 60-66 cm, the female 28-30 Kilograms and stand 56-60 cm. While this is the breed standard smaller and larger dogs are very common.
Our breeding program is not so much interested in standards but geared to produce dogs which have an excellent temperament, are strong, healthy, intelligent and large. We select from our litters those pups that will be reared to produce our next generation of dogs. This type of breeding program ensures that undesirable traits are not introduced, we know the parents, we raised them. We don’t do papers, we don’t do breed standards, what we do is to breed dogs that will make excellent companion dogs, family pets and watch dogs that will integrate well into your life. To their family they are great big lovable gentle animals, to the intruder that just walked through your door hell on four legs.
Security Cameras, now that is an oxymoron term if ever there was one. To be clear and blunt, Security Camera’s provide ZERO SECURITY and ZERO DETERRENCE. Criminals don gloves and masks to protect their identity while committing their crimes, others even upload their exploits to the internet. The only thing a Security Camera provides is a method to faithfully record your robbery/assault so that you can play it back and relive the moment at your leisure. Five hundred security cameras will not stop an intruder, a large German Shepherd will, however, provide any criminal or intruder with a huge number of reasons to do the house next door. The house that does not have a very large and protective dog in it.
The dog in these pictures is over 60 Kilograms, describing him as powerful just doesn’t do him justice, his bark demands respect as does his size. He is now part of our breeding program, a truly beautiful dog that has all the wonderful characteristics of his father and mother, in these images he is 20 months old.
